GED Outline (General Equivalency Diploma)


Getting your GED involves taking a series of tests. The tests allow you to show that you have knowledge and skills similar to those of a high school graduate. The tests are in the core high school subject areas: Language Arts, Writing, Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. Tests are multiple choice, except for one part of the writing test, which asks you to write a short essay, and in the mathematics test, which includes the use of standard and coordinate plane grids.

Upon successful completion of your training, you will have mastered the essential knowledge required by legal office assistants and receptionists in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Your course starts with the basics and includes human relations, Canadian legal systems and terminology, keyboarding and legal forms and document preparation.   • Quickbooks Series Online Training

    This series is designed for users who want to use QuickBooks 6.0 as a business accounting system. An overview of the application is presented, including using the EasyStep Interview process, to enter basic company information and set up accounts. Tasks covered include setting up company records, entering historical data, managing accounts, and creating lists, reports, and graphs. Managing invoices, sales tax information, bills, and assets is also covered. Additional topics covered include managing payroll and employee data, managing taxes, online banking, and creating budgets.
